Thank you for choosing to climb with Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School! Advance reservations are suggested, although we can usually accomodate last minute bookings. Private, Semi-private Guiding and Instruction in Acadia/Clifton/Camden Full payment is required for registration. Fifty percent (50%) of payment is refundable if cancellations is made more than two days (48 hours) prior to course/instruction. Cancellations made less than two days (48 hours) prior to the start of the course/instruction may put deposit toward another date. No shows will be charged full price. A full refund will be given if Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School must cancel the course. Courses and Trips; Rock Climbing and Adventure Camp: Full payment is required for registration. Fifty percent (50%) of payment is refundable if cancellation is made more than twenty-one (21) days in advance. Cancellations made within twenty-one (21) days of program forfeit full tuition rate. A full refund will be given if Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School must cancel the course. Group Reservations: Privately arranged groups courses where exact numbers are not known at time of registration require a $300.00 non-refundable deposit to hold date (1/2 day reservations require $200.00 deposit). Remaining balance due three weeks (21) before the beginning of program. Cancellations made more than twenty-one days (21) prior to the start of the course/instruction may put deposit toward another date. Cancellations made within twenty-one (21) days of program forfeit 100% of tuition. A full refund will be given if Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School must cancel the course. Destination Trips (western U.S., international): A 50% deposit is required for registration. Balance due sixty days (60) before the beginning of program. Fifty percent (50%) of deposit is refundable if cancellation is made more than 60 days in advance. No refund of deposit will be given for cancellations made sixty (60) days or less prior to start of program. Cancellations made within thirty days (30) of program forfeit 100% of tuition. A full refund will be given if Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School must cancel the course. |
A History of Acadia Mountain Guides Climbing School is the preeminent leader in climbing instruction and guiding in Acadia and across Maine. We specialize in designing customized experiences or training for you, your family or your group. Directed by internationally recognized IFMGA guide Jon Tierney who has been climbing in Acadia since 1982. Jon has over 30 years of local and worldwide experience. The IFMGA requires full AMGA certification as a rock, alpine and ski mountaineering guide. All AMGCS instructors are certified by either the AMGA or the PCIA and all guides have been trained or certified by the AMGA. • Since 1994 • AMGCS is the only climbing school in Maine to remain continuously accredited by the AMGA for eighteen years - several years longer than any other local service.
